Nature of Risk is a project of a group of individual investors, not unlike you, with diverse backgrounds in finance, academics, journalism, engineering… Heck, the team even includes a professional poker player, which is surprisingly helpful when it comes to understanding concepts in trading, risk management, and investing strategy. 

What connects us is the urge to take our savings and investments in our hands, find simple methods that work, to cut through the hype and find real value. We think that the fascinating, albeit often chaotic landscape of today’s online investment opportunities, ideas, sources, and approaches makes most people dizzy, and there is a huge unmet need for clear, honest, and unbiased information. 

Some of us have been investing with success for many years or worked for companies with great track records,  but our goal is not to be the next guru site or provide hot tips that create buzz. We want to provide proven, simple, and reliable tools that work for us and can help small investors harvest the advantages of being small and flexible.
